Amy has over 20 years of counseling experience. She holds a doctorate degree in Psychology and Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Florida State University.
She is a professional counselor with certifications in Dual Diagnosis Counseling, Addictions Counseling and Crisis Response and Victim Assistance.  She is a registered Pre-Marriage Counselor for Volusia County and a Registered Mental Health Intern with the State of Florida.

Amy provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families with an emphasis on self-esteem, crisis, attachment issues, transitional issues, relationship problems, and communication repair. Amy has a diverse set of skills which aid her in varying the treatment to fit the particular person and situation presented. She creates a close, supportive relationship in the counseling setting to assist each person in moving forward through open discussion, developing personal insight, and offering workable suggestions.

Her years of experience working at Southwestern State Hopsital as a Family Therapist and as a Mental Health counselor offers clients an array of skills, resources and strategies to assist them in achieving their personal goals.

Her high energy and diverse skills has led her to provide consultation and training to community agencies, schools, and parenting groups throughout the country. She currently teachs for Webster University in the Masters program for Mental Health and Community Counseling.  Amy has spoken at numerous venues and conventions regarding Mental Health and Family Therapy.
